Top MiM Programs in Europe for International Students: Rankings, Fees, Scholarships, and Placements

Europe remains one of the strongest destinations for a Master’s in Management, particularly for students who want to begin their business careers soon after undergraduate study. Many leading European MiM programs are designed for candidates with little or no full-time work experience and offer access to consulting, finance, technology and other early-career roles across multiple markets.

But choosing a MiM should go beyond ranking alone. For an international student, tuition, scholarship opportunities, program length, international mobility and employment outcomes all matter.

For this comparison, we have used the Financial Times Masters in Management Ranking 2026, published in September 2026, as the common ranking reference. Eight of the global top 10 programs in the latest ranking are based in Europe.

1) University of St.Gallen – Master’s in Strategy and International Management

Program snapshot

St.Gallen’s SIM is a three-semester, 90-ECTS program combining strategy, international management, practical projects and a mandatory international internship. It retained the #1 position globally in the Financial Times MiM Ranking 2026, the fifteenth time the program has taken the top position.

Tuition / fees

From Autumn 2026, international Master’s students pay CHF 3,557.50 per semester.

Scholarships

St.Gallen provides means-tested support through its study funding system. Its new HSG Best Talents scholarship covers tuition and contributes towards living expenses, but eligibility is currently restricted to EU/EFTA nationals and Swiss C-permit holders. Non-EU students should therefore check the university’s other funding options carefully rather than assuming they will qualify for this award.

Placements

The SIM career page notes that graduates commonly enter consulting, financial services, industry and entrepreneurship, and that it is common for students to have multiple offers before graduation. FT’s 2026 ranking data reports 98% employment within three months for the program.

Best fit if you want

St.Gallen stands out for the combination of a top-ranked management program, comparatively low tuition and strong access to European employers. The international project and exchange or double-degree opportunities also make it particularly relevant for students seeking a European career with wider global exposure.

2) Nova School of Business and Economics – Master’s in Management

Program snapshot

Nova SBE’s Master’s in Management is a three-semester program in Portugal with a flexible curriculum that combines core management courses, electives, career development and a final work project. Nova rose to #2 globally in the FT MiM Ranking 2026.

Tuition / fees

For 2026–27, base tuition for the regular track is €13,000 for non-EU/EEA students. Students adding an exchange, CEMS MiM or double degree pay additional fees.

Scholarships

Nova offers merit and social-mobility scholarships. Depending on the award and eligibility, funding can cover part or all of tuition, although several scholarships have nationality or financial-need criteria. Scholarship funding is awarded on a rolling basis, making an earlier application useful for candidates seeking financial support.

Placements

Nova reports that 86% of Master’s in Management graduates are working within three months and 98% within six months, while 69% pursue an international career.

Best fit if you want

Nova deserves attention from international applicants looking for strong employment outcomes without the tuition levels of many other top-ranked European schools. Its CEMS and exchange options can add further international exposure for students who want to build careers outside Portugal.

3) INSEAD – Master in Management

Program snapshot

INSEAD’s MiM is a 14-month program designed for recent graduates and early-career professionals. The Class of 2028 includes students from 54 nationalities, and the program combines business foundations with international study and career development. INSEAD ranks #4 globally in the FT MiM Ranking 2026.

Tuition / fees

Tuition for the MiM Class of 2028 is €57,870, inclusive of applicable taxes. INSEAD estimates living expenses of approximately €22,000 for the duration of the program.

Scholarships

Scholarship support is substantial relative to many MiM programs. INSEAD reports that 36% of the current MiM class received a scholarship, with an average award of €13,300.

Placements

INSEAD reports that 93% of graduates received a job offer, with graduates finding employment across more than 30 countries and over 60 recruiters hiring from the program.

Best fit if you want

INSEAD is particularly attractive for candidates who want a highly international cohort and do not want their MiM experience centred on a single national job market. Its relatively short format also makes it suitable for students who want to enter the workforce quickly.

4) HEC Paris – Master in Management

Program snapshot

HEC’s Grande École Master in Management is a two-year program, with the option of taking a professional gap year between M1 and M2. The second year allows students to choose from more than 20 specialisations. HEC ranks #5 globally and #4 in Europe in the FT MiM Ranking 2026.

Tuition / fees

HEC currently lists fees of approximately €58,970 across the two academic years, with an additional €2,500 fee for international students.

Scholarships

International applicants can be considered for merit-based and need-based HEC Paris scholarships. Scholarship amounts vary according to the candidate and award rather than following one standard amount.

Placements

HEC reports 99% employment within three months of graduation. Its current program page also cites an average salary of €118,500 three years after graduation based on FT 2026 data.

Best fit if you want

HEC can work particularly well for students who value flexibility. The optional gap year provides additional time for internships, while the M2 specialisations allow students to build deeper expertise before entering the job market. This can be especially useful for international students who want to use the MiM to explore consulting, finance, technology or other pathways before committing to one.

5) ESCP Business School – Master in Management

Program snapshot

ESCP’s MiM is a two-to-three-year program with a distinctive multi-campus format. Students can study across ESCP’s European campuses and combine their degree with specialisations, exchanges, dual degrees and professional experience. ESCP is joint #6 globally in the FT MiM Ranking 2026.

Tuition / fees

For students starting in September 2027, non-European students pay €25,900 in tuition plus €2,900 in additional fees per academic year, bringing the annual total to €28,800.

Scholarships

Eligible non-European direct-admission applicants are automatically considered for merit scholarships. ESCP states that these can cover a significant proportion of first-year tuition, while separate need-based funding is also available for eligible students.

Placements

ESCP reports 100% employment within three months, with 57% of graduates securing employment before graduation.

Best fit if you want

ESCP is one of the more interesting choices for students who do not want their international experience to depend on a single exchange semester. Moving between European campuses can give students direct exposure to several markets while they build language skills, internships and recruiter networks.

6) IESE Business School – Master in Management

Program snapshot

IESE’s MiM is an 11-month program in Madrid built around the case method. The program integrates general management, analytical skills and practical decision-making, and ranks #8 globally in the FT MiM Ranking 2026.

Tuition / fees

Tuition for the September 2027 intake is €55,500.

Scholarships

IESE offers several merit-based awards, including its Excellence, Diversity and Ambassadors scholarships. Scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis, so candidates seeking financial aid benefit from applying earlier in the cycle.

Placements

IESE reports that 96% of MiM graduates secure employment within three months. Consulting and financial services are among the largest employment sectors, and recent recruiters include McKinsey, BCG, BNP Paribas, EY-Parthenon and L’Oréal.

Best fit if you want

IESE’s 11-month format is useful for students looking for a relatively fast European MiM without giving up a strong general-management foundation. The case method may also appeal to candidates who prefer discussion and decision-making over a predominantly lecture-based program.

7) London Business School – Masters in Management

Program snapshot

LBS’s MiM is a 12-to-16-month program in London for recent graduates, typically with up to two years of experience. Students can choose from a broad elective portfolio and benefit from direct access to one of Europe’s largest finance, consulting and technology employment markets. LBS ranks #16 globally in the FT MiM Ranking 2026 and remains the highest-ranked UK school in the list.

Tuition / fees

The latest published tuition for the 2026 intake is £52,950, plus a £200 Student Association Fee. LBS has not yet published a newer MiM tuition figure on its official fee page.

Scholarships

Around 20% of LBS Graduate Masters students receive scholarship funding. Its MiM Merit Scholarship provides awards of up to £20,000, and all successful MiM applicants are automatically considered.

Placements

For the MiM Class of 2025, 92% received a job offer within three months. Of reported job locations, 54% were in the UK, 21% elsewhere in Europe and 18% in Asia.

Best fit if you want

LBS remains particularly relevant for students targeting London-based consulting, finance and other graduate roles. Its location gives students access to employers throughout the academic year, but international candidates should consider the cost of studying and living in London alongside the strength of the employment ecosystem.

Rankings matter, but they should not decide your MiM shortlist

The FT 2026 results are useful because they bring career progression, salary, value for money and international exposure into the comparison. But the difference between the #4 and #8 program should not automatically decide where you apply.

For an international applicant, the more practical comparison is often between cost, target geography, recruiter access, scholarship possibilities and program structure.

St.Gallen and Nova stand out for value relative to tuition. INSEAD offers one of the most internationally mobile formats. HEC and ESCP provide more time to build internships and explore career directions. IESE offers a shorter route into the European job market, while LBS provides direct access to London.

The right shortlist therefore depends less on finding the highest-ranked name and more on identifying which program gives your particular profile the strongest route to the career you want.

Planning your MiM applications

At LilacBuds, our MiM consultants help students compare programs beyond rankings, looking closely at profile fit, career goals, geography, scholarships and realistic admission chances.
