How to Apply

You can apply to the flagship Post Graduate Programme at ISB through one of the following three modes based on your academic status and work experience.

  1. PGP
  2. EEO (PGP deferred)
  3. YLP (PGP deferred)

To get admission to this premier institute for PGP, you should have a Bachelor’s degree, a valid GMAT or GRE score and a work experience of a minimum of 2 years. If you are a graduate with less than 2 years of experience, candidates can apply with a valid GRE or GMAT score through EEO or Early Entry Option.

If you are in the pre-final or final year of a graduate or post-graduate course with no full-time work experience, you can apply through YLP or Young Leaders Programme by submitting a valid GMAT or GRE score. However, PGP admissions are deferred in both EEO and YLP.

In case the undergraduate instruction language has not been English, the candidate needs to submit TOEFL or IELTS scores too.

Preparing for GRE and GMAT

Details of GMAT in brief:

For the Graduate Management Admission Test or GMAT, you have to keep in mind that there are 4 sections, namely Quantitative Reasoning (QR), Verbal Reasoning (VR), Integrated Reasoning (IR) and Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA). The total time assigned is 3 hours 7 minutes.

In QR (which assesses mathematical and numerical literacy) there are 31 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). 62 minutes are assigned to this section. In VR (questions regarding comprehension skills and English language proficiency), 65 minutes are allotted to 36 MCQs.

In IR (which checks how data is analysed and interpreted), 12 MCQs need to be completed in 30 minutes. In the AWA section, 1 essay (based on intrusive communication and cognitive skills) is assigned 30 minutes.

Details of GRE in brief:

In the Graduate Record Examination, GRE, you will be examined on Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning and Analytical Writing. The total duration of the GRE is 3 hours 45 minutes.

The 3 main sections are Quantitative Reasoning (QR), Verbal Reasoning (VR) and Analytical Writing (AW). The computer-based GRE has 2 sections – VR and QR, of 20 multiple choice questions each where 60 and 70 minutes respectively are allotted.

For AW, 60 minutes are assigned to the completion of 2 essays. Breaks in between the sections are provided.

Admissions Criteria & Timeline

Timelines for PGP 2024-25 and EEO 2024 application

The application deadline for Round 1 is September 08, 2024, and the dates for Round 2 and Round 3 are yet to be announced.

For Round 1, the interview is likely to be conducted from October through November, and by the end of November 2024, you would know if you have made it to your dream institute.

Similarly, for Round 2 and Round 3, it will take approximately two months from the application deadline to the result announcement.

For YLP, the ISB admission procedure comprises four stages. The stage 1 deadline for YLP admissions 2024 tentatively is March 31st, 2024.
